Level 12 Residential

Level 12 Residential is a part of Residential.

Rosemary Cottage (home to nineteen girls) and four group homes (home to six girls each) provide safe and supportive environments for adolescent girls between the ages of 13 and 18. All the residential facilities are located within the Pasadena area. The youth supported by Rosemary Children’s Services are placed through the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services or the Los Angeles County Probation Department. The girls are helped to heal and grow through the following extensive educational, therapeutic and recreational services:

  • Child care counselors provide 24-hour supervision for the adolescents girls. Counselors transport girls to school, assist with homework, and help with on-going related issues and concerns
  • Group Centered Leadership is a therapeutic technique and daily peer accountability group in which residents and caretakers gather to discuss positive and negative individual behaviors in a open forum.
  • Community involvement exposes the adolescents to cultural activities, such as museums and local symphonies, to help transition them into community life and aid in the growth of socialization and self-awareness.

Rosemary Children’s Services is committed to supporting family reunification following interventions designed to address such issues as interpersonal conflict, depression, social isolation, school failure, substance abuse, and neglect. Program participation strengthens the youth’s relationships with their family, peers and teachers. Rosemary Children’s Services is committed to the preservation of families or, if this is not possible, to quality preparation for emancipation.
